Rosie Perez
Rosie Perez, born Rosa Maria Perez June 6 1964, is an American dancer and choreographer. Her first role in the role of Tina in Do the Right Thing (1989) was followed by White Men Can't jump (1992). Perez's performance in the film Tina Fearless (1993) brought her nominations for the Academy Award, Best Supporting Actress and other accolades. Childhood and early life
Perez was born in Brooklyn's Bushwick on the 6th of September 1964. She was married to Lydia Perez, a merchant maritime seaman and Ismael Serano. [3][4][5] Perez's mother Lydia Fontanez y Reyes was born in Humacao (Puerto Rico) on October 13, 1939. Her father came from Aguadilla (Puerto Rico). Arturo Perez, her mother's husband, was 20 years older than her. Following an affair with Serrano's father Perez's mother had five children. Perez was born in the now closed Greenpoint Hospital in Brooklyn's Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn.
