Emily Procter

 

Emily Mallory Procter (born October 8 1998) is an American actress and activist. She was Ainsley Hayes on the NBC political drama The West Wing (2000-2002; 2006) and Det. Calleigh Duquesne on the CBS police procedural drama CSI: Miami (2002-2012).



 



 Childhood and early life



 Procter was born October 8 1988. At the age of a newborn, she was adopted by William Procter (a general practitioner) and Barbara Jones (a volunteer worker). She was raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was three years old when her parents separated. She has an older brothernamed Whit and is adopted.



 



 Ravenscroft School was where Procter went to school in Raleigh. While at East Carolina University, Procter joined the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Procter was a TV anchor on news for WNCT in Greenville, North Carolina. Procter eventually earned diplomas in dance and journalism.
